The Calabasas Dial-A-Ride program is a transit service that operates with funding from the LA Co. Metro Transportation Authority (METRO). It provides
a limited number of trips for Calabasas residents who qualify as riders.
Dial-A-Ride is a demand-response paratransit service offering door-to-door rides for pre-registered users aged 65 and older or who have medical disabilities. Dial-a-Ride users must register with and be approved by City staff. The City will provide a list of approved users and updates to the selected service provider. Riders must schedule a ride at least 24 hours in advance. Dial-a-Ride does not allow for shared rides between different groups of riders.

Calabasas residents who are 65 years of age or older, have a permanent disability, or have
a serious medical condition. Residents must be able to provide a doctor's statement for a
disability. The drivers are not allowed to assist the passengers and applicants must be able
to independently get on and off the Dial-A-Ride vehicles.

Microtransit is a demand-response service offering door-to-door rides for all members
of the public 18 and older (or minors accompanied by an adult 18 or older). The City
currently operates a Pilot Microtransit Program where riders have the option to
schedule a ride but are not required to do so. Where Dial-a-Ride and Microtransit
hours overlap, Dial-a-Ride users have priority use. Microtransit is a newer program to
the City and the City anticipates makomg adjustments to the program as it comes
out of itspilot phase. The successful contractor will be expected to accommodate
changes to the operation of the program. Microtransit allows for and promotes,
shared rides between groups of riders as space allows. More information about the
